We booked a reservation here a few weeks ago while visiting Louisville for a quick getaway. This is the first place we booked for brunch with no other brunch places planned afterwards. I’ll start with the atmosphere: Very beautifully designed, small restaurant in the basement of a boutique hotel. Very comfortable place that never seemed too loud. The food: The BEST bacon I have ever had!!!! The Kentucky Sunrise (?) drink was incredibly delicious. The eggs were great and the potatoes were amazing! Atmosphere: This is the biggest part. If you are lucky enough to be there when Mark is working, you are in for a treat!!!! Although the bacon was the best I’ve ever had, Mark made the experience the best part of the whole visit. His laugh, charm, charisma, and personality was the greatest part of the visit. We still talk about him to people now. I genuinely think he should have his own one male show on stage. He’s so sweet and funny, I can’t imagine our experience here without him. We ate here every single morning after that first day. We plan to return to Louisville again in 2026, and we plan to return to this restaurant and need Mark to be our server. Thank you Wild Swann for such an amazing experience, and especially thank you Mark for the laughs and hospitality!!!!
Fun speak easy concept. The food was delicious. The drinks tasted good but were very weak.
The Wild Swann is like a cool speakeasy in The Grady hotel, with entry from the hotel lobby. The bar is fully stocked and serves a great bourbon-based Manhattan. The charcuterie board was an excellent shareable appetizer with something for everyone. For my main course, I had the Moroccan pork tenderloin, which was perfectly cooked and had a nice sauce with Moroccan flair, served on a bed of kale and diced squash. Those in my party who had the tenderloin were extremely satisfied. In fact, everyone was well satisfied with their dinner choices.
Pork chop is fantastic. Drinks are good. Flat breads are tasty. Hot chicken sliders are not too hot and are heavily breaded. Cool atmosphere but can echo a little.
This was my first visit to Wild Swann, and I stopped in for breakfast with my family. Mark, our server, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I’m gluten‑free, and he took the time to answer all my questions about the menu and potential cross‑contamination. They offer gluten‑free bread, and their fried potatoes don’t contain flour; however, they are cooked in a shared fryer, so those with sensitivities should be aware. Overall, we had a great experience, and I’d happily recommend Wild Swann to anyone.
I’ve eaten at Wild Swann twice now while visiting Louisville for work. The food has been excellent, and the service is wonderful. On this last visit, David made some superb drinks at the bar for us. Definitely made the end of the night that much better better. Thank you, David!
Had several meals in Louisville over the past few days and this place is the only one that really set itself apart from the rest. Very relaxed atmosphere, clean and quite beautiful place on the lower level of the Grady Hotel. They open early for breakfast, our waiter Mark did a great job welcoming us, and taking care of our needs. By the taste of the food you can really tell the chef takes a lot of pride in their craft as it was phenomenal. All around great experience and will definitely return…
Great place to unwind, relax and discuss the day's bourbon tastings with friends. It's got a speakeasy vibe with intimate lighting and a great menu. The bartender was super friendly and helpful. The appetizers were great and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their mains! Go hungry!
Had an amazing brunch here a few weeks ago and everything was simply amazing. Shoutout to Mark our server who was fantastic, attentive and friendly. The potato’s were chefs kiss 💋! Will definitely be back!
Rarely have I had such an incredible experience, thank you! It was my birthday and the place was empty due to a snow storm but the amazing folks working that night made it in and created an experience that I'll never forget. The food was phenomenal and the drinks were perfect! Again, thank you so much for one of the best birthdays I've had!
